MacOS 14 “Sonoma” is now available as an optional upgrade for all compatible UWM-owned Macs.
Upgrades to macOS are available through Software Update for all compatible devices:
- iMac – 2019 and later
- iMac Pro – 2017
- MacBook Air – 2018 and later
- MacBook Pro – 2018 and later
- Mac Pro – 2019 and later
- Mac Studio – 2022 and later
- Mac Mini – 2018 and later
To upgrade your device:
- Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen
- Select System Settings
- Select General
- Select Software Update
- Click the option to Upgrade Now
All UWM-owned Macs capable of running macOS 14 must be upgraded to Sonoma prior to the start of the Fall 2024 semester. All Macs that cannot run macOS 14 must be upgraded to macOS 13 Ventura.
Devices that cannot upgrade to macOS 13 Ventura prior to the start of Fall 2024 semester must be retired.
