Microsoft Stream Video Transfer

On December 31, 2023, Microsoft’s Stream (Classic) service will be retired and videos stored in it will no longer be available. 

UWM IT will perform automated transfers of all Stream (Classic) videos to both OneDrive and Stream (on SharePoint) prior to December 31, 2023. Once videos are transferred, they will no longer be visible in Stream (Classic).

Videos that you uploaded to Stream (Classic) will be migrated to your OneDrive space under a new Stream Migrated Videos folder. Videos uploaded to Stream (Classic) as part of a M365 Group or Team will be migrated to the corresponding SharePoint site under a new Stream Migrated Videos folder.

Following these transfers, we encourage you to update any content that contains links to Stream (Classic) videos including WordPress and SharePoint pages.
