Panther Academic Welcome
Panther Academic Welcome (PAW) is designed to support you in making a successful transition to college learning. This is a required program for all incoming freshman; however, transfer students are also welcome to attend. For Fall 2022, this requirement will be fulfilled by attending Panther Academic Welcome which will take place on the Washington County campus on Thursday, August 25th at 10:00am and includes:
- Free lunch
- ID pick-up
- Swag
- Class photo
- Breakout sessions & activities
- Academic advising
- Campus tour
The event will last about 5 hours. Check-in will begin at 9:30am at the campus main entrance. Please park in the lower lot. Parking permits are not required for this event. Please no family members or guests on this day. Panther Academic Welcome is a Student-Only event designed to acclimate you to being a student at UWM at Washington County.
COVID-19 Guidelines: If you have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms within 10 days of Panther Academic Welcome, please do not come to campus. Email us at orientation@uwm.edu and we can share alternative options. If you are symptom-free, please follow campus guidelines. Masks are encouraged but not required. uwm.edu/coronavirus/
