Antonio Paniagua Guzmán (‘22, PhD Sociology) joined Memory Keepers Medical Discovery Team in July. Memory Keepers focuses on collaborative research to improve dementia outcomes in Indigenous and rural communities.
Michael Miner (‘20, PhD Sociology) argued the case for hiring sociologists both in academia and in the private sector in an article he wrote for Footnotes, the magazine of the American Sociological Association.
Daniel Bartholomay Ph.D. and UWM alumni from Sociology’s graduate program, has been chosen as this year’s Outstanding Faculty Speaker at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi and gives a virtual talk about his research on November 11, 2020. DaJuan Ferrell has accepted a Lectureship position at the University of Pennsylvania’s Critical Writing Program. The program offers discipline-based seminars that all undergraduate students must take to fulfill their writing requirement at the University of Pennsylvania. As a lecturer, DaJuan will teach three sociology themed writing seminars.
