A webcam has been set up to show live shots of the construction of the new chemistry building on UWM’s main campus.

The webcam, which sits atop the Engineering and Mathematical Sciences building, automatically refreshes every five minutes. A control along the bottom of the webcam browser window allows users to view earlier images.

The camera will remain in place for the duration of the construction project, which is scheduled to be complete by late 2023 or early 2024.

Ground was broken Jan. 26 for the new four-story, 163,400-square-foot building. It’s being built next to the Kenwood Interdisciplinary Research Complex at a cost of $118 million.
