UWM engineering students learn with virtual reality holotable

Engineering students in UWM’s Virtual Reality Infrastructure Laboratory can now use a virtual reality hologram table to examine and test structural designs.

UWM is the first nonmilitary user of this Euclideon holotable, which is unique in allowing multiple people to simultaneously view virtual 3D images from different perspectives, and do so without bulky VR headgear. It takes group planning, design and research collaborations to a new level.

The lab is funded by gifts from GRAEF and the Graef, Anhalt, Schloemer Foundation, as well as Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee.
