UWM has a new associate vice chancellor and chief information officer — Scott Genung began his new role in July.
Genung provides strategic and operational leadership for IT at UWM, including the management of University IT Services (UITS) and the customer service-focused Campus Technology Support (CTS).
Genung most recently was interim CIO and deputy CIO at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to that, he served in a variety of leadership, technical and instructional roles at the University of Chicago, University of Oregon and Illinois State University, spanning more than 30 years.
Genung reports to Vice Chancellor Robin Van Harpen and serves on Chancellor Mark Mone’s cabinet.
