UWM will be conducting annual fire drills Sept. 21-25. The drills are designed to test UWM’s emergency response systems and procedures and make systematic changes to enhance the university’s safety.
Student, faculty and staff participation in the drill is important to familiarize yourself with the emergency procedures. Discuss any issues with your building chairs and floor captains. Visit the Building Chair page, and find a link to the Floor Captain on the Emergency Preparedness webpage.
During the drill, Facilities staff will activate the alarm, and University Safety & Assurances staff will end the drill once building chairs confirm everyone is out of the building.
