UWM online bachelor’s program ranked in top 10% in nation

Three online education programs have received “best” ratings in the latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report.

UWM’s online bachelor’s program landed at No. 32 among 350 programs ranked nationwide for 2025. UWM was the highest ranked university in Wisconsin.

UWM’s online MBA program received two “best” rankings, including No. 135 overall. That program also ranked as the No. 80 best program for military veterans and active-duty service members. The military ranking considers strong academic programs for enrolling veterans and making available ample financial benefits linked to federal programs.

The rankings only include degree-granting programs offered primarily online by regionally accredited institutions. The rankings are based on several factors specific to online learning, including student engagement, faculty credentials, and services and technologies. Overall, more than 1,700 bachelor’s and master’s programs were considered.

UWM has long been a leader in online education, offering more than 900 courses and 52 degrees and certificates that can be completed fully online.
