UWM graduate programs ranked by U.S. News & World Report

Several programs at UWM appear in the latest rankings of best graduate programs by U.S. News & World Report.

Two UWM programs – library and information studies and occupational therapy – landed in the top 20 of the 2023-2024 Best Graduate Schools. Several others were in the top 100, including:

  • Part-time MBA
  • Speech-language pathology
  • Clinical psychology
  • Economics
  • English
  • Fine arts
  • History
  • Physical therapy
  • Political science
  • Social work
  • Sociology
  • Physics
  • Nursing
  • Nursing-doctor of nursing practice
  • Health care management

The methodology for compiling the rankings varies by program, but include such factors as degree output, peer and professional assessments, GPA and GRE scores, research activity and faculty credentials.

The rankings are designed to help prospective graduate students evaluate programs in a variety of disciplines.
