Lori Felker, senior lecturer in Film, Video Animation and New Genres, and Sky Hopinka, a master’s in fine arts candidate in the same department, won awards at the 54th Annual Ann Arbor Film Festival, held March 15-20.
Felker won the Overture/Wazoo Award for Best Music Video for “Beasts in the Garden” by Spires that in the Sunset Rise. Hopinka shared the Tom Berman Award for Most Promising Filmmaker for “Jáaji Approx.”
