UWM experts available to assist media with back-to-school stories

MILWAUKEE _ Students across southeastern Wisconsin will soon be returning to the classroom. From elementary to higher education, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee faculty and staff can help media working on a range of stories as the new academic year approaches. For instance:

  • Nadya Fouad teaches an educational psychology course focused on helping students figure out their major and career path. She can offer tips to undecided students about choosing a field of study.
  • It’s never too early to start thinking about college. Marc Young can discuss what high school students – particularly juniors — and their families need to do to start planning for higher education.
  • What’s in store for the future of public libraries in an increasingly digital learning environment? Abigail Phillips can talk about ways that libraries can incorporate technology and thrive as educational resources in the digital age.
