UWM Career Closet receives large donation of men’s clothing

The Center for Student Experience and Talent’s Career Closet has received a donation of more than 500 pieces of clothing, including shoes, blazers and pants, from a local bridal store that’s owned and operated by a UWM alum.

After deciding to no longer sell men’s clothing, Amelishan Bridal of Hubertus donated the clothes to the Career Closet. UWM alum David Marquardt joined the family business and brought his expertise in business and sales with him.

The UWM Career Closet, in Vogel Hall, provides current students with free new and gently used business casual and business professional clothing for their next interview, career fair or job. Students are welcome to stop in at Vogel Hall during the Career Closet’s hours: Mondays-Thursdays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., or Fridays from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Choose up to three items each semester to keep for free.

If you’d like to donate to the Career Closet, stop by Vogel Hall with your donation or contact careerplan@uwm.edu.
