UWM athletes’ high-GPA streak hits 50 semesters

A "report card" shows the UWM athletes have a cumulative GPA of 3.513, and that 125 athletes have a GPA of 3.8 or higher.

Milwaukee student-athletes continue to score high marks in the classroom, posting a collective grade-point average of 3.522 during the Spring 2025 semester.

This marks the 50th consecutive semester – now reaching an incredible 25 years – that student-athletes at UWM have recorded a GPA of 3.0 or better. It’s also the 21st straight semester with a 3.20 GPA or higher and the 12th in a row of 3.30 or better.

During the Spring 2025 semester, 125 Panther student-athletes compiled a GPA of at least 3.8, while 73 of those achieved a perfect 4.0 mark.

Led by the women’s soccer program, which posted a 3.778 GPA during the recently completed semester, 10 of the 13 Milwaukee athletic teams achieved a GPA of at least 3.40 for the term.

Also posting GPAs of 3.40 or higher were the women’s basketball (3.757), women’s tennis (3.726), women’s cross country (3.665), volleyball (3.630), women’s track & field (3.627), women’s swimming & diving (3.555), men’s cross country (3.525), men’s soccer (3.465) and baseball (3.455).

Overall, MKE student-athletes collectively carry a cumulative GPA of a 3.513.
