UWM’s Supervisor Conference, “Student Employment as Learning,” brings together supervisors, faculty, staff and all who care about student employees for a half-day learning experience on Jan. 16 in the Wisconsin Room in the UWM Student Union.
Joan Shapiro Beigh of UWM’s Lubar College of Business will lead a workshop on the impact of management on student employees, a panel of supervisors will share how to create an inclusive workplace, and students will share which work experiences can transform their career trajectory. In addition, representatives from the UWM Office of Compliance and Ethics and the Department of Human Resources will talk about their roles in educating student employees.
