“A True Story of Mismanagement: One Supervisors’ Impact on Student Employees.” A Workshop with Prof. Joan Shapiro Beigh (Lubar College of Business) The Stockroom Lab Rat case is a true story of mismanagement on the part of a campus supervisor, a master’s degree student, who has the responsibility of managing several shifts of students for an on-campus chemistry stockroom. Prof. Joan Shapiro Beigh will facilitate a conversation with attendees on the key issues and missteps of the supervisor, and together, we will explore alternatives that would have been more satisfying to both the supervisor and the student she ultimately fired. |

This presentation will help you understand the importance of students completing mandatory employee training, and how to cultivate a “speak up culture.” |
