N95s and surgical masks available on campus

UWM is providing students and employees with surgical-style masks and N95 respirators on campus. UWM is strongly recommending that students and employees wear surgical-style masks or N95 respirator-style masks while on campus.

Look for stations distributing N95 respirators in larger, busier buildings on all campuses: UWM Student Union, Klotsche Center, Golda Meir Library, Engelmann Hall (Human Resources Main Desk), Zilber School of Public Health, School of Continuing Education, School of Freshwater Sciences, and in the main offices of UWM at Washington County and UWM at Waukesha.

Faculty and staff will receive 10 respirators at a time, to help make sure students and employees have them in classrooms and offices. Students will be given five N95 respirators at a time. UWM recommends that the N95 respirators are worn just one day and then deposited in the trash.

Surgical-style masks (blue) will be available at mask stations in each building on all campuses. These also are disposable, one-day masks. They are not recyclable; please place in trash receptacles.

For additional information on masks, see this FAQ on how they differ.
