IT self-service coming on Nov. 30 to UWM

IT Incident Self Service on Nov. 30 will provide a new way for the UWM community to report and track issues with IT systems on campus. The Cherwell Self-Service web portal will:

* Allow users to submit IT incidents directly to the help desk for processing.
* Enable users to login with their ePantherID to check the status of the incidents they have already submitted, and add comments or updates to these incidents.
* Provide access to an online “service catalog” that contains basic information on most IT services available to UWM users.
* Replace UWM’s existing IT status page with a page that will be accessible during outages to campus web environments.
* Look up knowledge articles in the UWM technical knowledge base.

On Nov. 30, the current www.gettechhelp.uwm.edu URL will be replaced with this new self-service web portal. UWM students, faculty and staff are encouraged to visit this web portal after it’s live to check out these new features.
