UWM is bustling with activity as more than 3,900 students move into campus residence halls and apartments from Thursday, Aug. 27, through Sept. 1, before the start of the 2026-27 school year.
Chancellor Thomas Gibson helped kick off move-in Thursday morning at Sandburg Hall, greeting students and families and lending a hand.
From packed cars and rolling carts to excited first hellos, move-in is bringing energy back to campus as students settle into their UWM homes at Sandburg, Cambridge Commons, RiverView and Kenilworth Square Apartments. Classes begin on Sept. 2.
