Friends, family, faculty and staff gathered Sunday in the UWM Panther Arena to celebrate the success of the UWM Class of 2023.
Some 2,000 graduates received their diplomas during the university’s 129th commencement, ranging in age from 19 to 63 years old.
Graduates heard commencement addresses from Vicki Martin, president of Milwaukee Area Technical College, and Keith Posley, superintendent of Milwaukee Public Schools. MATC and MPS are partners with UWM in the M3 program, which aims to increase the retention, graduation and career success of students from high school through college.
