UWM Chancellor Thomas Gibson delivered his first plenary address since joining the university over the summer.
He told the crowd gathered in the Wisconsin Room of the UWM Student Union that he has spent the first few months on the job learning all about the university, and invited the audience to consider all he’s learned about its successes.
Student success, he said, must be at the center of everything the university does in order for it to thrive.
“Student success priorities drive my work as chancellor,” Gibson said. “And I believe we can accomplish even more if we keep student success as our guidepost. We must work together toward our common goals and use our collective expertise to advance our missions.”
