The Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Mental Health is seeking a faculty co-chair to help lead the committee in its work to promote positive mental health across the UWM campus. In its more than 10 years, the committee has been instrumental in organizing and securing mental health support at UWM.
In addition, the committee is seeking faculty and staff members who have a passion for wellness and mental health. To get involved and for more details, contact Carrie Fleider at fleider@uwm.edu.
The mental health committee is one of four committees that work with the Chancellor’s Office to identify concerns and provide recommendations to campus leadership. Here are the other three:
- Veteran’s Advisory Council to the Chancellor: representing faculty and staff who are committed to addressing issues affecting active duty, military veterans and military dependents on campus. Contact Yolanda Medina at medinay@uwm.edu or Heidi Bertram at bertrahl@uwm.edu.
- Chancellor’s Advisory Committee for LGBTQ+ Advocacy: a standing committee devoted to improving campus climate, policies and practices that affect LGBTQ+ employees and students. Contact Ariana Myers at myersan@uwm.edu.
