Catch total lunar eclipse May 15

Witness a total lunar eclipse on the evening of Sunday, May 15, at the UWM Manfred Olson Planetarium. Telescopes and binoculars will be set up near Engelmann field for visitors to view this phenomenon as the moon passes behind Earth’s shadow.

Telescopes and binoculars will be available at this free event starting at 10 p.m., with the full eclipse at 11:11 p.m. Free planetarium shows will kick off every 15 to 20 minutes.

Not recommended for children younger than 4. For event questions, please email planetarium@uwm.edu.

Because of the planetarium’s confined space, we strongly recommend that visitors wear masks when visiting the planetarium, regardless of vaccination status.
