Faculty governance recently approved a change that affects the deadline for students to add courses. This change will be in effect for Fall 2024.
Under the previous policy, students were able to enroll in full-term courses through the 10th day of a fall or spring semester. Examination of student success data suggested that students who added classes after the first five days were unlikely to be successful. Therefore, the policy has been altered to allow students to add only until the fifth day of the term.
Instructors are still free to give students permission to add their courses; this policy change only affects the ability of students to add courses on their own.
