Students intending to enroll at UWM will no longer be required to pay a confirmation deposit prior to orientation and course enrollment.
Instead, incoming students will be asked to complete an intent to enroll activity guide. Completing that will trigger matriculation and an invitation to complete the next steps toward entering the university, including such things a choosing housing and classes. Students will now be required to pay a $150 orientation fee that will be due the same time as tuition in August.
The change is an attempt to lessen financial barriers for students and simplify the enrollment process.
