On Friday, Oct. 2, faculty and staff are invited to join a campus-wide symposium to explore community-engaged teaching, scholarship and research, especially as they relate to student success.
The session will be 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and will feature visits to sites where community-university partnerships have made an impact. Douglas Haynes, author of “Teaching Toward Slow Hope,” will speak, and you’ll learn ways to build partnership for impact and how to embed experiential learning in your course. Come for some of the sessions or all day.
