The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee ranked No. 1 on the list of Best Colleges in Milwaukee, according to a recently released list.
The report from Research.com also ranked UWM No. 1 on the 2026 list of Best Value Colleges in Milwaukee and Most Affordable Colleges in Milwaukee, and ranked No. 2 on Best Colleges in Wisconsin.
The annual ranking includes more than 1,700 colleges and universities that were selected from among 6,000 institutions nationwide. The data-driven rankings, based on over 400 metrics, consider a university’s research activity, the quality of its teaching and faculty, and the quality of life on campus.
Nationwide, UWM was ranked as the No. 42 Best Public College, and ranked No. 65 on the overall best colleges list.
