The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee marked a milestone on June 25 with the grand opening of the Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Lab at the Connected Systems Institute. The event celebrated a partnership between Microsoft, UWM, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and TitletownTech.
As Microsoft’s first AI lab focused on manufacturing, it will help Wisconsin businesses stay competitive and support workforce development. Students and faculty will collaborate with industry on AI-driven projects, bridging academia and real-world innovation. The lab follows Microsoft’s $3.3 billion investment to expand AI infrastructure across the state.
