The Frontlines of Democracy: Stories from a New Generation of Leaders

Young leaders from around the world will share their experiences from the frontlines of the defense of democracy and human rights at an event on Wednesday, Oct. 30, in the UWM Student Union Ballroom.

This free event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a reception in the MLK Lounge followed by a panel discussion in the Union Ballroom from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Speakers will discuss their experiences in conflict zones around the world where basic freedoms and human rights are under threat.

They will share their real their world experiences aiming to inspire the next generation of Americans to be active in American democracy and support democracy and human rights around the world.
