Members of the UWM community are invited to attend an event Oct. 15 that explores and celebrates what it means to be an older adult in the LGBTQ+ community.
Hear from a panel of older adults about their experiences, including accessing health care and what the community can do to address inequities. There will also be time for networking and learning more about the groups sponsoring the event.
This event is a collaboration between the Helen Bader Office of Applied Gerontology, House of History, Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, Student Gerontology Association at UWM, and the UWM LGBTQ+ Resource Center.
The event will be 1-4 p.m. in the Alumni Fireside Lounge of the Student Union.
