UWM Commuter Value Passes are valid through 3 a.m. on Jan. 1. Each year in June, faculty and staff who are enrolled in the CVP must redeem a “benefit code” to activate their bus pass with Milwaukee County Transit System.
For MCTS to have UWM faculty and staff on the correct annual schedule, a new benefit code will be necessary in January 2024 and once more in June 2024. At that point, the code will last from June 2024 through the end of May 2025, and new codes will only be required annually.
The UMO Mobility app is the default bus pass, but faculty and staff who do not have a smartphone, data plan or have disabilities that make it difficult to use a phon, can qualify for a physical bus card.
On Monday, Dec. 4, faculty and staff will be assigned a new benefit code that is valid January through May. It will be listed under your Transportation Services account, as the “MCTS Benefit Code” field in the “Additional Information” section of the Account Information page. Check our website for instructions to redeem the code. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
