UWM will transition to Milwaukee County Transit System’s new WisGo platform on Monday, June 26. WisGo allows students to ride the bus using either the UMO Mobile App or the new WisGo physical card. Students must choose only one of the two methods.
Either way, students will need to activate their UPASS by redeeming a benefit code. All students currently enrolled in classes and paying segregated fees for this summer have been assigned a benefit code. Find instructions for redeeming the benefit code on UWM’s Transportation Services website.
After June 26, the existing UPASS M-Cards will not work. Be sure to activate your WisGo account by the end of day on Monday, June 26.
UWM recommends that students use the app when possible. Choosing the app has the benefit of immediate and remote activation, reduced need for customer service, no card to lose and no lost U-PASS fees. Choosing the card may lead to delays in activation and usage. The fee for a replacement card is $25.
Faculty and staff with Commuter Value Passes were transitioned to the WisGo platform on June 1. Please email uwmpark@uwm.edu or call 414-229-4000 with any questions.
