The 2019 film “Son-Mother,” by Iranian filmmaker and women’s rights activist Mahnaz Mohammadi, will screen on Monday, Nov. 28, at 6 p.m. in Mitchell Hall, Room B91, on UWM’s campus. Her work has led to her arrest three times on charges related to Iranian national security and propaganda against the state.
After the film screening, the audience is invited to stay for a discussion of how her work and the film are connected to the ongoing protests in Iran.
