Students are encouraged to enroll in the Neighborhood Housing Office’s Preferred Tenant Program to receive discounts on monthly rent or security deposits.
The program is a free, self-paced course offered online through Canvas, and educates students about how they can be successful tenants in the UWM neighborhood. Students who complete the course will be eligible to receive discounts from participating landlords — $250 off a security deposit and/or 2% off monthly rent.
