Ready to roar? UWM Day at the Wisconsin State Fair is Sunday, Aug. 9. Panthers, prospective Panthers and their families and friends are invited to join us for live music, cooking and robotics demonstrations and our trademark Roar Like a Panther contest.
1, 2, 3… ROAR!
Feel future Panthers shake the fairgrounds during the Roar Like a Panther contest. Children ages 12 and younger are invited to roar for a special judge — UWM nursing student and Miss Wisconsin Rosalie Smith.
Live music
Will Pfrang and the Anytime Leslies will be performing throughout the day. These UWM students and alums know how to get the fun started!
Pounce on some season tickets
Run through the Panther tunnel and listen to the cheers while scrimmaging with UWM’s D-1 Athletics coaches and players. Pounce also will be giving away season tickets.
Graduate like a Panther
Experience what it’s like to graduate as a Panther! Have your picture taken in a UWM cap and gown.
Wait … a clock powered by vegetables?
Teach children that eating vegetables can power their body, just like this clock! Test different vegetables and watch to see which ones make the clock tick.
UWM drone
Keep your eyes on the skies. The UWM drone will be snapping pictures as it soars over the fairgrounds.
UWM bandana giveaway
Want some more UWM apparel? Earn a UWM bandana by stopping by five featured UWM booths.
Panther ears
Pick up a pair of Panther ears. You’re a part of the family now and the only cat allowed on the fairgrounds.
Learn to cook and meet a MasterChef
Watch a cooking demonstration by UWM Restaurant Operations at Central Park Stage and sample savory, fresh food. Then stop by the Central Mall from 12 to 2 p.m. to meet MasterChef finalist and UWM employee Katrina Kozar.
Water display & robotics
Head to the Freshwater Sciences booth to learn about water and see the school’s robot in action. The future is here!
