IWA Interviews Russian Intellectual and Activist on the Current State of Anti-war Protests in Russia

Institute of World Affairs Senior Fellow Jeffrey Sommers recently interviewed Boris Kagarlitsky, Professor at Moscow School for Social and Economic Sciences. Kagarlitsky has published some 2 dozen books in English, Russian, and other languages, and was the Director of the Institute for Globalization studies and social movements which was recently shut down by the Russian government. In 1982 and 1983 was jailed for Ant-Soviet activities. He was most recently imprisoned for 10 days in November 2021 for protests. Jeffrey Sommers is Professor of Global Studies and African and African Diaspora Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The interview can be seen here.
