Meet Author Sindiwe Magona

Please join us for a special conversation with renowned South African author Dr. Sindiwe Magona.  Dr. Magona has written over 130 children’s books in addition to her acclaimed novels, autobiographical works, essays, biographies, and plays.  She is a leading voice on social issues in South Africa, addressing a wide range of themes including poverty, race, HIV/AIDS and the rights of women and children.

This program is being organized in conjunction with UWM’s new International Children’s and Young Adult Literature collection, supported through a Title VI U.S. Department of Education National Resource Center grant.  Free and open to the public.  Children welcome.
