To be considered for admission to the online archives and records administration certificate program, you must hold a master’s degree in library and information science or a closely related field, like computer science, educational technology or history, with a minimum 2.75 GPA. To earn an archives and records administration certificate, you must fulfill the following program requirements:
- Complete 15 credits of coursework, with a minimum of 12 credits taken in the School of Information Studies. You have the option to take up to 3 credits in another UWM school or department with prior approval.
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA throughout the program.
- Complete the program within three years from the date of admission.
- No thesis is required, but you may obtain up to 6 credits in an independent study, which is included as a part of the total approved program.
