Housing Contracts
August 7, 2026: All students with completed contracts have been assigned. Please check your email and view your assignment via My Housing Information! Spring 2027 Contracts will start to be released in early November.

May 1, 2026: University Housing is no longer accepting Residence Hall Contracts for the 2026-27 academic year. Students without a submitted contract or exemption have been automatically exempted from the UWM Residency Requirement and may explore other housing options through the Off-Campus Resource Center.

University Housing remains full for Fall 2026, and we have not yet begun offering contracts to students on the residence hall waitlist. If you are still interested in living on campus, please join the waitlist through the Housing Portal. Contracts will be offered if spaces become available.

Cleaning of areas within residential suites is your responsibility as a resident of University Housing. This includes trash/recycling removal. While you should be caring for your own individual space/bedroom, bathroom and/or in-suite kitchen cleaning responsibilities are shared by all residents of each suite.

Cleaning products (and toilet paper) are not supplied by University Housing. Make sure to discuss purchasing these items with your room- and suite mates. To clean bathroom vanities and shower walls, please purchase a product that contains a mold/mildew-specific cleaning agent. Examples include Clorox Tilex Mold and Mildew or Lysol Mold and Mildew Remover.

Once an academic year, during Winter Break, Facilities staff will enter each residential bathroom to clean. Make sure to remove all belongings from the counter and shower of your bathroom and take out the trash before you leave. If any bathroom items remain, custodial staff are not able to completely clean your bathroom.

NOTE: Common areas in University Housing Facilities (such as public bathrooms, lounges, hallways, laundry facilities, stairwells, and elevators) are cleaned on a daily basis by custodial staff.
