The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is one of only 115 U.S. universities to receive the “highest research activity” designation of the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. A goal of UWM Partners for Health is to conduct innovative research that helps improve the lives of those with physical and mental health issues.
The problems confronted in the health field extend across disciplines, and we need to address these issues with innovative solutions in a collaborative, interdisciplinary manner. UWM Partners for Health are dedicated to bringing faculty, staff and students together through integrative team science and discovery by:
Cultivating a shared vision of team-driven research excellence and advancement
Exploring and incentivizing collaborative research across schools/colleges
Developing shared infrastructure support and facilities
Forging strong academic ties with external partners, including industry and government.
