The Office of Information Technology and Analysis supports the Graduate School through the following efforts:
- Automation & Workflow Development: ITA designs, builds, and maintains automated systems that support administrative processes such as graduate admissions, fellowships, graduation applications, transcript workflows, and diploma ordering across multiple platforms.
- Data Reporting & Dashboards: ITA develops interactive reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI to support data-driven decision-making in areas including graduate education, research funding, academic monitoring, and institutional compliance.
- Custom Applications & Systems Integration: ITA creates and supports custom-built web applications and ensures integration with platforms like SM-Apply and Perceptive Content to manage student records, faculty workflows, and institutional forms.
- IT & Infrastructure Support: ITA oversees the office’s computer and server infrastructure, coordinates onboarding for new staff, configures multi-function printers, and manages tools such as LastPass to support secure and efficient operations.
- Group & Communications Management: ITA administers over 300 automated distribution and security groups, supports SharePoint and Microsoft Teams environments, and manages tools and processes that facilitate internal communications and collaboration across departments.
