There is no better time to explore a graduate program at UWM!

UWM has been classified as an R1 research institution by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, a rating given to only 130 of the 4,338 universities evaluated. UWM is one of only two universities in Wisconsin that received the rating.

We continue to grow in size and stature, with outstanding faculty in our more than 135 graduate programs in a broad variety of fields. Our distinguished professors are recognized for making a profound impact on their respective fields and creating a vibrant research community in which they mentor the next generation of master’s and doctoral scholars.

Take a graduate school tour where you will explore all the campus has to offer. UWM is currently offering in-person campus tours along with a virtual visit option; explore our Virtual Tour option at the bottom of this page.

Schedule your in-person Tour*

*We are excited to show off our Milwaukee campus with in-person tours! It is incredibly important to us that we do so safely and our tour groups will be capped at 5 people. UWM has updated its current COVID-19 health and safety rules:

As cases of COVID-19 continue to increase in our community, even among those who are vaccinated, UWM is requiring that students, employees and visitors wear masks indoors while on campus.

These changes are meant to help protect the health and safety of UWM students, employees, and visitors and follow guidance from local, state and national health agencies.

It is necessary to register in advance, and because tours are limited, we are not allowing walk-ins or additional guests on the Graduate School tour at this time. After registering, you will receive more information when your tour registration is confirmed.
