There is no better time to explore a graduate program at UWM!

UWM has been classified as an R1 research institution by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, a rating given to only 146 of the nearly 4,000 universities evaluated. UWM is one of only two universities in Wisconsin that received the rating.

We continue to grow in size and stature, with outstanding faculty in our more than 135 graduate programs in a broad variety of fields. Our distinguished professors are recognized for making a profound impact on their respective fields and creating a vibrant research community in which they mentor the next generation of master’s and doctoral scholars.

Take a graduate school tour, where you will explore all the campus has to offer. UWM offers in-person campus tours as well as a virtual visit option; explore our virtual tour option at the bottom of this page.
