Wisconsin needs more healthcare professionals today and that need will only increase in the future. As a society, we have many problems for which there are no apparent solutions. This is NOT one of them. A state investment of $181 million will deliver a 15% increase in enrollment for health sciences programs at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, our state’s second largest university. 82% of UWM alumni from the last decade live and work in our state. We must invest in the UWM Health Sciences Renovation to ensure that all Wisconsin residents have access to the medical care they need…now and in the years to come. Excellent health care has been and should continue to be a Wisconsin tradition.
