The Makerspace is a free, creative workspace where students can turn ideas into real projects. Work independently or collaborate with others to design prototypes, fabricate parts, test solutions, and bring classroom concepts to life. The space is open to all students in the college, regardless of major.
Who Can Use This Space?
All Students enrolled in UWM. To gain access to this space, use your Panther ID card 1-2 days after agreeing to the Lab & Safety Rules Form. This access will only be for the semester, and you will have to resubmit the form the following semester.
Enter the Makerspace (EMS W133) from the lobby study space or from the west hallway.
Equipment Training and Certification
All students are welcome to use the Makerspace without certification. Before using the 3D printers, you must complete the required certification. Optional training is available for other equipment whenever you would like extra help or instruction.
