Dr. Ryo Amano is an expert in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and energy systems. He works on research topics on conventional energy (gas turbines, rocket engines, propulsion, pumps, compressors, aerodynamics), renewable energy (wind, hydro, wastewater treatment, and biomass combustion, gasification and pyrolysis) on funded projects by NSF, DOE, NASA, Army, Air Force, State Agencies, and many industries. He is currently the Director of Industrial Assessment Center, funded by the US Department of Energy.
