Minor

The economics minor requires 18 credits within the department, including Econ 103, 104, and one statistics course. The remaining 9 credits must be in upper-division (300-level and above) economics courses; 9 credits in upper-division courses must be taken in residence at UWM. Waiver or substitution in any of these categories may be approved by the Undergraduate Director in consultation with the student’s advisor.

Requirements

The College of Letters & Science requires that students attain at least a 2.0 GPA on all credits in the minor attempted at UWM, and at least a 2.0 GPA on all minor credits attempted when any transfer work is included along with the UWM work. The minor in economics requires a minimum of 18 credits:

BUS ADM 210 or MTHSTAT 215 may be substituted for ECON 210 and will count in the minor GPA.
