Sumit Agarwal (PhD 1998) named UWM Distinguished Alumni

Sumit Agarwal, who has three degrees from UWM, was recognized with the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award for 2017. Sumit Agarwal is the William G. Droms Term Professor of Finance and Professor of Economics at Georgetown University. He has published over fifty research articles including multiple times in the American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics and the Journal of Political Economy. An expert in finance, banking, and real estate markets, Sumit was cited as influential in setting both research and policy agendas.
