Description

Indigo Roots is a company dedicated to making green infrastructure, such as rain gardens, accessible and sustainable by selling native plants packaged in biodegradable/compostable materials. The company is dedicated to generating awareness for the declining health of Wisconsin’s freshwater ecosystems and creating solutions to help grow a better future.

Mission

Indigo Roots provides the residents of southeastern Wisconsin the tools necessary to create green infrastructure in their own backyards. By doing so, we are healing the fractured and long-time relationship that this local society has with the freshwater ecosystems that are the foundation of our existence.

Vision

As more rain gardens are planted and less plastic waste is generated, we head to a healthier future for local freshwater ecosystems. This will encourage the natural water cycle to heal and native flora and fauna to flourish.
