Inspired by discussions with executives at Rockwell Automation and Microsoft, UWM has established the Connected Systems Institute (CSI) where researchers and industry partners conduct advanced research related to digital manufacturing and prepare a skilled workforce.

In addition, CSI’s planned state-of-the-art testing facilities will set it apart from other university-industry consortiums studying IIoT connectivity.

The institute blends expertise from UWM’s Lubar School of Business, College of Engineering & Applied Science and School of Information Studies. Partners also include Ansys and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
