Kevin Beisser

Kevin Beisser is the Director of International Student and Scholar Services in the Center for International Education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Prior to taking the Director role in 2025, Kevin served on the same team as International Education Manager and International Student Coordinator for 13 years and as Assistant Director of Student Services in UWM's English as a Second Language Program for 12 years prior to that. Kevin currently serves as a National Trainer Corp member for NAFSA National Association of International Educators, giving training workshops in areas of student immigration and recruitment.  He also serves as Past Chair of StudyWisconsin where he served as Chair for over 10 years.  In the past, Kevin has served as Chair of the Wisconsin Association of International Educators and as the NAFSA Region V Wisconsin State Representative. Kevin has traveled abroad extensively, visiting over 30 countries and has presented at numerous State, Regional, National, and International Conferences. In 2023 WAIE awarded Kevin with the prestigious Hong Rost Memorial Leadership Award for Innovation in International Education Student Service.  As a child, Kevin's family hosted 17 exchange students from around the world. Kevin is an MPS Alumni as he attended Vincent High Schools International Studies Program. He is also a proud UWM Alum holding a BA in Communication with an emphasis on Intercultural Communication.  In his free time, Kevin enjoys watching sports, especially soccer as well as the Milwaukee Bucks and Green Bay Packers. He also enjoys time with his family and traveling.
